Lahore: Service Industries Limited (SIL), an investment holding company with a diversified portfolio, has reported its un-audited financial results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2026. The report highlights substantial growth in various financial metrics, showcasing the company's robust performance.

For the nine months ending September 30, 2026, SIL's unconsolidated operating profit surged to Rs. 3,328 million from Rs. 1,899 million in the previous year. This represents a remarkable increase driven by higher dividend income from associated companies and reduced finance costs. Net profit after tax saw a significant rise, reaching Rs. 1,955 million compared to Rs. 578 million in the prior year, marking a 238% increase.

SIL's consolidated financial performance also demonstrated strong growth. Net revenue increased by 20% to Rs. 130.86 billion, compared to Rs. 109.08 billion in the corresponding period last year. This growth was supported by a 29% rise in gross profit, which reached Rs. 32.41 billion. Operating profit climbed 37% to Rs. 19.37 billion, while profit before levy and taxation rose by 57% to Rs. 15.79 billion. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Service Long March Tyres Limited, a subsidiary of SIL, successfully completed its initial public offering (IPO), raising Rs. 7.77 billion to fund the Passenger Car Radial Tyre Project. This move is part of SIL's strategic efforts to expand its tyre segment, which recorded a 30% increase in net sales to Rs. 101.2 billion during the period. This growth was driven by a 33% surge in domestic sales and a 19% rise in exports.

In the footwear segment, net sales stood at Rs. 26.4 billion, reflecting a 7% decrease from the previous year. Despite this, gross profit remained stable at Rs. 8.7 billion. Management anticipates a recovery in the footwear exports segment, with strategic interventions expected to restore baseline operations and drive steady growth in sales volumes.

SIL's directors have also reported that during an Extraordinary General Meeting on August 4, 2026, shareholders approved the subdivision of each ordinary share of Rs. 10 into ten ordinary shares of Rs. 1 each. This adjustment aims to enhance the company's market position and foster shareholder value.
