Karachi: Trading in the Sukuk issued by BankIslami Pakistan Limited [BIPLSC] will be temporarily halted at the end of September.

According to the announcement by BankIslami Pakistan Limited, the trading suspension of its Sukuk [BIPLSC] will take place from September 27, 2024, to September 30, 2024. This measure is to facilitate the book closure period slated for September 28, 2024, to September 30, 2024, aimed at executing the profit payment process for the Sukuk holders.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), all stakeholders, including investors and regulatory bodies, are advised to make a note of these dates. Trading is expected to resume on October 1, 2024, following the completion of the profit distribution.

This interruption in Sukuk trading is part of routine financial operations associated with periodic profit payments to Sukuk holders, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and maintaining orderly market conduct.
