Karachi: Trading in the shares of M/s. SME Leasing Limited will remain suspended as the company has not addressed the causes of suspension related to regulatory non-compliance. This decision follows a previous notice issued on August 27, 2025, and was reaffirmed on October 24, 2025.
The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has indicated that the suspension is due to violations of PSX Regulations 5.11.1, specifically clauses (b), (c), (g), and (h). These infractions include the company's failure to hold its Annual General Meeting, submit its annual audited accounts, an adverse opinion issued by its statutory auditor in the audit report, and the cancellation of its leasing license by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP).
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the suspension will continue until SME Leasing Limited rectifies these issues or for another period of 60 days starting from October 27, 2025. This decision has been made under the authority granted to the Exchange by Sub-Section (7) of Section 19 of the Securities Act, 2015, and PSX Regulations 5.11.
The company is currently classified under the designated market category of leasing, and the continuation of the suspension reflects the Exchange's emphasis on regulatory compliance and corporate governance standards.
