Surmawala Securities Surrenders Trading Rights at Pakistan Stock Exchange

Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has officially accepted the request from Surmawala Securities (Private) Limited to relinquish their Trading Right Entitlement (TRE) Certificate, effectively removing the firm from the register of TRE Certificate Holders. This development was confirmed on June 19, 2025.

Surmawala Securities had initiated the process of surrendering their TRE Certificate in March, as outlined in Notice No. PSX/N-292. During this period, the PSX invited claims or objections regarding the matter. However, no objections or claims were filed by other TRE Certificate holders or related entities. Consequently, in accordance with clause No. 4.9.4 of the Pakistan Stock Exchange Rule Book, the request for relinquishment was duly accepted.

The acceptance of this request means that Surmawala Securities is no longer entitled to participate in the trading activities facilitated by the Pakistan Stock Exchange. The firm's name has been officially removed from the list of active TRE Certificate Holders, with this change taking effect immediately.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the decision marks a significant administrative update within the designated market category.

The development follows a procedural process that ensures transparency and fairness in the operations of the stock exchange, maintaining the integrity of the market and its participants.
