Dynea Pakistan Limited Reports Mixed First Quarter Performance Amid Market Challenges

Karachi: Dynea Pakistan Limited has released its unaudited financial results for the first quarter ending September 30, 2026, amidst a backdrop of challenging market conditions. According to the report, the company faced significant hurdles including regional conflict in the Gulf, supply chain disruptions, intense price competition, and transport strikes in the northern region.

The report, dated October 30, 2026, indicates a shift from profit to loss for the company when compared to the same period last year. Dynea Pakistan recorded a loss before tax of Rs. 49 million and an after-tax loss of Rs. 95 million. This is a stark contrast to the previous year’s profit before tax of Rs. 319 million and after-tax profit of Rs. 191 million. The basic and diluted earnings per share fell from Rs. 10.13 to Rs. (5.02).

In the Resin Division, sales revenue increased to Rs. 1.53 billion from Rs. 910 million, marking a very large or significant move of 68%. Conversely, the Moulding Compound Division saw a decrease in sales revenue, generating Rs. 2.11 billion compared to Rs. 2.42 billion in the same quarter last year, classified as a moderate move of 13%.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), these financial results reflect the dynamic and volatile market landscape the company is navigating. The designated market category for Dynea Pakistan Limited is the chemical sector, which has been notably impacted by the external economic and geopolitical pressures mentioned.

Despite some recovery observed in September, the directors' report underscores that market conditions remain challenging for Dynea Pakistan Limited. The financial performance highlights the company's ongoing efforts to sustain its market presence in a difficult operating environment.
