LSE Capital Limited Reports Significant Profit Decline Amid Rising Expenses

Lahore: LSE Capital Limited has released its financial results for the first quarter ending September 30, 2026, revealing a significant decline in net profit compared to the same period last year. The results, presented in the company's un-audited consolidated and un-consolidated condensed interim financial statements, highlight a challenging quarter for the company.

On October 30, 2026, LSE Capital Limited reported a net profit of Rs. 14.025 million for the quarter, a 64.48% decrease from the Rs. 39.490 million recorded in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The decline in profitability comes amid notable increases in both administrative expenses and finance costs.

The company's operating income, however, rose by 15.31% to Rs. 44.029 million, up from Rs. 38.184 million in the previous year. This increase in revenue was offset by a substantial rise in administrative and general expenses, which climbed to Rs. 49.903 million from Rs. 37.886 million. Finance costs also saw a large increase, reaching Rs. 16.179 million compared to Rs. 4.340 million in the previous year.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company's earnings per share (EPS) fell to Rs. 0.04 from Rs. 0.10 in the same period last year, reflecting the downturn in profitability. The total assets of LSE Capital Limited stood at Rs. 4,251.837 million, with total liabilities at Rs. 565.501 million.

Despite the challenging financial performance, the company's equity plus revaluation surplus showed a modest rise to Rs. 3,686.336 million from Rs. 3,655.034 million, indicating a degree of stability in its financial foundation.

The report highlights the impact of increased costs on the company's bottom line, underscoring the need for strategic cost management moving forward. As the company navigates these financial pressures, stakeholders will be closely monitoring future quarters for signs of recovery or further challenges.
