Pakistan Paper Products Ltd. Reports Strong Financial Performance for 2026 with Significant Dividend Announcement

Karachi: Pakistan Paper Products Ltd. (PPP), a key player in the paper products sector, has released its financial results for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026. The company's board of directors convened on September 9, 2026, to approve and disclose the financial outcomes.

The board has recommended an 80% cash dividend, translating to Rs. 8 per share, while opting against issuing any bonus or right shares. This decision reflects the company's solid financial footing and its commitment to shareholder returns.

The company's financial statements reveal a notable increase in total assets, which rose to Rs. 2,388.50 million from Rs. 2,244.50 million in the previous year. This growth is driven primarily by a rise in current assets, which amounted to Rs. 1,023.02 million, up from Rs. 870.78 million in 2025.

PPP's net sales for the year reached Rs. 1,913.73 million, marking a significant move of 10.38% compared to Rs. 1,733.60 million reported the previous year. The cost of sales also increased to Rs. 1,538.83 million from Rs. 1,434.64 million, but the company managed to achieve a gross profit of Rs. 374.90 million, compared to Rs. 298.96 million in 2025.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company's profit before income tax stood at Rs. 225.28 million, representing a substantial increase from Rs. 161.46 million in 2025. After accounting for an income tax expense of Rs. 59.42 million, the net profit for the year was Rs. 165.86 million, compared to Rs. 122.42 million the previous year.

The earnings per share (EPS) also saw a considerable improvement, rising to Rs. 20.73 from Rs. 15.30, reflecting the company's robust operational performance and increased profitability.

In terms of liabilities, PPP reported a decrease in non-current liabilities to Rs. 120.44 million from Rs. 155.37 million, and current liabilities increased to Rs. 393.59 million from Rs. 338.38 million.

PPP's financial results underscore its strong market position and effective management strategies, laying a solid foundation for future growth in the competitive paper products industry.
