Lahore: Dost Steels Limited has issued a notice for its Annual General Meeting (AGM) scheduled for October 28, 2026, at 9:00 am. The meeting will be conducted at the company's registered office in Lahore, with provisions for attendance both in person and via videoconferencing.
The agenda for this AGM includes both ordinary and special business items. Among the ordinary business, the company will present its annual audited financial statements for the year ending June 30, 2026. This presentation will include the Chairman's Message, as well as the Directors' and Auditor's Reports. Additionally, the AGM will address the appointment of auditors for the financial year 2026-27, with the Board of Directors recommending the reappointment of M/s Mushtaq & Co. Chartered Accountants, following a proposal from the Audit Committee.
A key item under special business is the proposed increase in the company's authorized share capital. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company plans to expand its authorized capital from PKR 4.45 billion to PKR 13.06 billion. This increase will enable the issuance of 1.306 billion ordinary shares at PKR 10 each, a significant move in the market category.
The resolution for this capital increase, if passed, will necessitate amendments to the Memorandum and Articles of Association of the company. The Chief Executive, a Director, or the Company Secretary will be authorized to complete the necessary legal and corporate formalities to effect these changes.
The AGM will also accommodate any other business matters as permitted by the Chair, with a statement of material facts provided to members in accordance with Section 134(3) of the Companies Act, 2017.
