Husein Industries Limited Reports Decline in Annual Revenue as Operating Costs Fall

Karachi: Husein Industries Limited, a company listed on the Pakistan Stock Exchange, has released its annual report for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026. The report, dated October 7, 2026, highlights a decrease in annual revenue alongside a reduction in operating costs.

The company's revenue for the year amounted to 196.29 million rupees, down from 256.10 million rupees in the previous year. This represents a significant move of approximately 23.36% in the revenue figures. Simultaneously, the cost of sales and expenses decreased to 108.76 million rupees from 133.72 million rupees, reflecting a reduction in operating expenditures.

Gross profit for the year stood at 87.53 million rupees, compared to 122.38 million rupees in 2025. The administrative expenses remained relatively stable, recorded at 42.76 million rupees, slightly up from 42.00 million rupees the previous year.

Operating profit saw a decline, reaching 44.77 million rupees from the previous year's 80.38 million rupees. The finance cost was significantly reduced to 30.55 million rupees from 44.53 million rupees, while other charges also dropped to 1.34 million rupees from 12.01 million rupees. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company reported other income of 3.02 million rupees, up from 1.72 million rupees in the prior year.

The profit before levy and income tax was reported at 15.91 million rupees, down from 25.56 million rupees. After accounting for a levy of 52,164 rupees, the profit before income tax was 15.85 million rupees, compared to 25.51 million rupees in 2025.

Taxation for the year was recorded at 7.20 million rupees, up from 2.79 million rupees the previous year. Consequently, the profit after income tax amounted to 23.05 million rupees, decreasing from 28.30 million rupees for the previous fiscal year.

The total comprehensive income for the year remained the same as the profit after income tax, with no other comprehensive income reported. Earnings per share decreased to 2.17 rupees from 2.66 rupees in 2025.
