Lahore: Ghani Chemical Industries Limited (GCIL) has announced its 11th Annual General Meeting (AGM), scheduled to take place on Tuesday, October 27, 2026. The meeting will be convened at 10:45 AM at the company's registered office in Lahore. The agenda includes important discussions around both regular and special business matters pertaining to the company's financial and strategic operations.
The AGM will address ordinary business matters, including the review and adoption of the Annual Audited Financial Statements for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026. Additionally, the appointment of auditors for the upcoming financial year will be considered, with the current auditors, M's Shinewing Hameed Chaudhri & Co., offering themselves for reappointment.
The meeting will also cover special business topics, with a focus on enhancing investment strategies. The company plans to increase its investment in Ghani Global Holdings Limited from up to Rs. 300 million to Rs. 500 million. Similar investment increments are proposed for Ghani Global Glass Limited and Ghani ChemWorld Limited, with the former seeing an increase from Rs. 1,500 million to Rs. 2,000 million, and the latter from Rs. 2,000 million to Rs. 2,500 million. Additionally, a new investment of Rs. 100 million is proposed for Ghani Gases (Private) Limited.
The AGM will also consider the approval of cross corporate guarantees for affiliated companies. Ghani Chemical Industries Limited plans to issue guarantees amounting to Rs. 300 million for Ghani Global Holdings Limited, Rs. 500 million for Ghani Global Glass Limited, and Rs. 200 million for Ghani Gases (Private) Limited. These guarantees are aimed at securing financing facilities from banks.
In addition to these resolutions, the meeting seeks to ratify sale transactions with Ghani ChemWorld Limited and enter into long-term agreements with the associated company.
