Air Link Communication Reports Strong Financial Performance Amid Market Challenges

Karachi: Air Link Communication Limited has released its annual report for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026, showcasing robust financial results despite operating in a challenging and competitive market. According to the report dated October 6, 2026, the company saw significant improvements in both its standalone and consolidated financial performances.

In the broader economic context, Pakistan's economy demonstrated signs of stabilization and recovery during FY2026. Real GDP growth increased to 3.7% from 3.2% the previous year, fuelled by enhanced industrial and services activities. The consolidated budget deficit was reduced to 2.6% of GDP, a notable improvement from the 5.4% of the prior year. Foreign-exchange reserves were bolstered by record workers' remittances, which rose to approximately $41.6 billion, an 8.6% increase. Despite these improvements, inflationary pressures emerged later in the year due to international commodity price hikes, prompting the State Bank to adjust the policy rate from 10.0% to 11.5% by April 2026.

Air Link Communication Limited, along with its subsidiaries Select Technologies Limited, Zexo Technologies (Private) Limited, and Airfin Financial Services (Private) Limited, reported a rise in standalone revenue from Rs. 56,120 million to Rs. 60,083 million, marking a 7.06% increase. Gross profit improved to Rs. 8,575 million from Rs. 6,846 million, while profit after tax saw a 2.83% rise to Rs. 3,559 million. On the consolidated front, net revenue was reported at PKR 89,768 million, a decrease from PKR 104,364 million. However, the consolidated net profit rose to PKR 6,226 million from PKR 4,748 million, with the net margin increasing to 6.94% from 4.5%.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Air Link's revenue growth is categorized as a moderate move, with a notable impact on its financial stability and market confidence. The company's strategic initiatives, including partnerships with brands like Hisense and the establishment of new subsidiaries for manufacturing EV Bikes and financial services, underscore its efforts to diversify and strengthen its market position.

The Board of Directors, comprising a mix of independent, non-executive, and executive members, remains cautiously optimistic about the company's future growth. Management plans to leverage its strong distribution network and brand recognition to enhance product lines and improve operating margins. The company aims to mitigate revenue concentration risks and sustain growth by expanding into the home appliances market and launching electric vehicles in the next fiscal year.

Overall, Air Link Communication Limited anticipates maintaining its growth trajectory and delivering sustained value to its shareholders, contingent upon stable economic and regulatory conditions.
