Indus Dyeing & Manufacturing Reports Sharp Rise in Annual Profit for 2026

Karachi: Indus Dyeing & Manufacturing Company Limited has reported a substantial increase in its annual profit for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026, as detailed in its latest annual report released on October 7, 2026. The company's revenue rose to 112.90 billion rupees, up from 106.62 billion rupees in the previous year. The directors attributed the improved financial performance to the enhanced operations of the company’s spinning division.

The financial statements presented to shareholders at the Sixty-Nine Annual General Meeting highlighted a gross profit rise to 10.86 billion rupees from 7.65 billion rupees, and other operating income increased to 2.10 billion rupees from 897.33 million rupees. Finance costs were recorded at 4.46 billion rupees, compared to 3.97 billion rupees in the previous year. The provision for taxation surged to 2.27 billion rupees from 543.45 million rupees.

The company’s profit after taxation saw a significant rise to 2.76 billion rupees, in contrast to 575.35 million rupees reported last year. Earnings per share (EPS) for the current year were 50.85 rupees, up from 10.61 rupees in the previous year, representing a very large or significant move.

Despite these gains, the Board of Directors decided against declaring a dividend for the period. The report emphasized that there was no change in the nature of the company's business during the fiscal year.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company showed resilience in a challenging economic environment, benefiting from a favorable reduction in interest rates. This contributed to the commendable net profit recorded for the year.

The report concluded with a statement on the company's steady performance and the strategic advantages leveraged during the fiscal year, setting a positive outlook for future developments in the spinning division.
